Homeowners Insurance

Homeowner insurance should provide the same sense of security as the home it safeguards. Our policies, crafted with leading insurance carriers, reflect this principle. Whether for homes, condos, or renters, we offer a range of protection levels to guard against from events like fires, storms, theft, and vandalism. You can select the coverage options that suit your needs best, without the burden of unnecessary additional insurance.

About Homeowners Insurance Coverage

Coverage A: Dwelling Coverage

Dwelling Coverage, often referred to as Coverage A, is a crucial component of a standard homeowners insurance policy. It protects the physical structure of your home along with permanently installed fixtures and appliances. This coverage will reimburse you for repairs or replacements to your home if the damages result from a covered loss, such as fire, falling objects, or vandalism up to your policy limits.

Coverage C: Personal Property

Personal Property, referred to as Coverage C, is a key component of homeowners insurance policies. It provides financial protection for your personal belongs that may be damaged, destroyed, or stolen due to covered incidents like vandalism, fires, and severe storms up to your policy limits.

This coverage applies to belongings stored within your home, but it's not limited to items that are inside at the time of damage. For instance, if your laptop is stolen from your car, you would still be eligible for a claim.

Coverage E: Personal Liability Coverage

Personal Liability coverage protects you against common incidents where someone is injured on your property, resulting in significant medical bills and even lawsuits. It provides coverage to help pay for bodily injury or property damage that you are found responsible for up to your policy limits.

The protection afforded by Personal Liability coverage extends to household relatives as well. That means if your child accidentally damages your neighbor’s property, you may also be covered.

The coverage limit for Personal Liability usually ranges from $100,000 to $500,000. If you want an extra layer of protection, you can also purchase an umbrella policy.

Coverage B: Other Structures

Other Structures that aren’t directly attached to your home, like a garage or shed, aren’t usually protected by the Dwelling portion of your home insurance policy. However, they may be covered by Other Structures coverage, which is also known as Coverage B.

These structures are insured for the same types of risks or perils that your home is covered for, including fire, falling objects and vandalism. For example, if a tree falls on your detached garage, Other Structures coverage will help pay to repair it or replace it up to your policy limits.

Coverage D: Loss of Use

Loss of Use, also known as Coverage D, is included in most homeowners insurance policies. If your home is damaged by a covered event (e.g., fire or tornado), and you’re unable to live there while repairs are being made, this insurance typically covers your temporary housing and other related expenses.

Loss of Use coverage reimburses you for expenses that you wouldn’t ordinarily incur if you were living in your own home up to your policy limits.

Coverage F: Medical Payments

Medical Payments, referred to as Coverage F, covers medical expenses for injuries that happen on your property, regardless of fault. This is often gets confused with Personal Liability Coverage.

For example, if someone trips on your front steps and injures their ankle, necessitating a hospital visit, Medical Payments can cover the ambulance fee, X-rays, and any required follow-up physical therapy. However, if you are later found legally liable, costs for further treatment, legal fees, and other damages would be under Personal Liability Coverage.
